Jeff Green comedian

Comedian Focus: Jeff Green

How well do you know comedian Jeff Green?

Well did you know that for the 1994 Perrier Awards, one of the highest achievements in comedy, Jeff was narrowly pipped at the post by Aussies Lano & Woodley? This only spurred him on. In 1996 Jeff appeared on his own stand-up show Jeff Green Live, recorded London’s Her Majesty’s Theatre, and consequently shown on the UK’s ITV network.

British Radio and TV spots followed throughout the ‘naughties’, including Michael Mcintyre’s Comedy Roadshow (see below).

One of the notable chapters in Jeff Green’s life story is his marriage to an Australian, followed by a permanent move to Melbourne. This personal connection to both the UK and Australia has allowed him to introduce a cultural fusion to his comedic material. He combines a harmonious English sarcasm with Australian laid-back humour, which is why his adopted country soon couldn’t get enough, as he was invited to appear regularly on the Melbourne International Comedy Festival (MICF) Gala and Just For Laughs (JFL).

Today, comedian Jeff Green is one of the busiest stand-up comedians on the scene and is managed by More Talent and still a regular at the MICF.

Off stage, comedian Jeff Green is also a successful author with his books ‘The A-Z of Being Single‘, ‘The A-Z of Living Together‘ and ‘The A-Z of Having a Baby‘. He’s also a regular comedy coach for the Hard Knock Knocks comedy school and will be supporting the September 24 to 28 stand-up comedy course in Melbourne, alongside Brad Oakes.
