Each week the Hard Knock Knocks comedy school highlights one of our graduates from our Adelaide, Melbourne or Sydney courses. This week, it’s Jeremy Dooley from Melbourne.
Jeremy attended the Hard Knock Knocks Comedy School in early 2021, before gigging around Victoria – which would have been interstate if not for the timing of COVID!
Hard Knocks Knocks was not Jeremy’s first foray into comedy, however, having jointly won the Class Clowns award all the way back in 2002. Class Clowns is the Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s national development program for young people, introducing teens to comedy through workshops with pro comedians.
With the same duo that he won Class Clowns with, he did a full season of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival at just 17 years of age. Years later, the Hard Knock Knocks course took him to the next level, and he ended up a part of the Hard Knock Knocks’ “Best of” show for the 2021 Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
Not stopping there, he will now be performing a joint 50-minute show with Lisa Gatenby, another Hard Knock Knocks graduate, at this upcoming 2022 Melbourne International Comedy Festival. You can purchase tickets for the show, titled 3rd Life Crisis, here.
Only time will tell what else Jeremy will be up to in his comedy career!
