Cracking RAW Comedy is a panel discussion designed to help you prepare for the competition.
Primarily for Hard Knock Knocks alumni considering entering RAW Comedy, this upcoming event brings together two recent National Raw Comedy Finalist, Cameron Muratore and Jorgia Rice, as well as veteran comedy coach Bradford Oakes. It’s your opportunity to ask questions, hear honest accounts of the competition and work out how to make your five minutes count.
Cameron Muratore, a RAW Comedy finalist in 2024, will share his experience of progressing through the competition and stepping onto the finals stage. From preparing material to performing under pressure, Cameron brings the perspective of someone who has taken that journey.
Jorgia Rice, a RAW Comedy finalist in 2026, will offer a fresh account of her own competition experience. Hear what she learnt along the way, how she approached her performances and what advice she would give someone preparing to enter.
Known well to the nearly 900 Hard Knock Knocks graduates, Brad Oakes is a 37 year veteran of stand-up comedy and has close to two decades as a comedy coach. He’ll be bringing his practical eye to material selection, joke structure, delivery and rehearsal.
Together, the panel will explore building a strong five-minute set, choosing an opening, tightening punchlines, handling nerves and connecting with an unfamiliar audience. There will also be time for your questions, so bring the things you’ve been wondering about, overthinking or asking your bathroom mirror.
The session runs on a Tuesday, from 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm and is $35, or $10 for Hard Knock Knocks alumni. BOOK HERE.
